💡 Tip: “The” is the MOST used word in English! You’ll see it everywhere. It comes before nouns: the cat, the dog, the book.

💡 Tip: “Is” connects a person or thing to a description. Amma is kind. The sky is blue. The ball is red.

“I am a good student.”

💡 Tip: “Am” is only used with “I”. I am happy. I am six years old. I am going to school.

“They are playing outside.”

💡 Tip: “Are” is used with “you”, “we”, and “they”. You are smart. We are friends. They are here.

“He was at school yesterday.”

💡 Tip: “Was” talks about the past — something that already happened. I was hungry. She was sleeping.
