❌ Common Mistakes Indians Make

❌ “I am go to school.”
✅ “I am going to school.”
Use “going” (present continuous) — not the base form “go” after “am”.
❌ “I brushed” (when speaking about right now)
✅ “I need to brush my teeth.” / “I am brushing my teeth.”
Use present tense for current actions, past tense only for completed actions.
❌ “Give me water.” (too direct)
✅ “Can I have some water, please?”
Adding “Can I have” and “please” makes it polite — very important in English!
❌ “I didn’t found my belt.”
✅ “I can’t find my belt.”
After “didn’t”, use the base form “find” not “found”. Or use “can’t find” for present.
❌ “The bus is came.”
✅ “The bus is here!” / “The bus has come.”
Don’t mix “is” with past tense. Use “is here” or “has come”.
