❌ Common Mistakes Indians Make

❌ "I am having fever."
✅ "I have a fever."
Use "have" not "am having" for symptoms. "I have a fever", "I have a cold".
❌ "My head is paining."
✅ "I have a headache." / "My head hurts."
"Paining" is Indian English. Standard English uses "hurts" or "aches".
❌ "I am feeling cold." (meaning fever)
✅ "I have chills." / "I feel cold and shivery."
"I’m feeling cold" means the room is cold. For fever-chills, say "I have chills".
❌ "Doctor give me medicine."
✅ "Doctor, please give me medicine."
Always add "please" when requesting. Also address: "Doctor, can you…"
❌ "I didn’t ate breakfast."
✅ "I didn’t eat breakfast."
After "didn’t", always use the base form: "didn’t eat", not "didn’t ate".
