Change Words Across Parts of Speech

Turn nouns into adjectives, verbs into nouns, and more!

📖 Let’s Learn Word Formation!

In Grade 3, you learned about root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Now in Grade 4, let’s learn how to change a word from one part of speech to another! For example: beauty (noun) → beautiful (adjective) → beautifully (adverb).

Word formation is like magic — one root word can become a noun, verb, adjective, or adverb depending on what ending you add. This skill helps you write more flexibly and score higher in vocabulary tests!
