Writing 3-Sentence Paragraphs

Your First Paragraph!

Put 3 sentences together to write your very first paragraph!

📖 Let’s Learn Writing 3-Sentence Paragraphs!

A paragraph is a group of sentences about the same topic. Your very first paragraph can be just 3 sentences!

All 3 sentences should be about the same thing — like your mother, your school, or your favourite food. A paragraph is the building block of all writing. Once you can write a paragraph, you can write stories, essays, and letters!

💡 The Rule

A 3-sentence paragraph has: (1) a topic sentence (tells what it’s about), (2) a detail sentence (gives more information), (3) a closing sentence (a final thought). All about ONE topic!

🎯 Key Concept

📝 About my dog:
1. Topic: I have a dog.
2. Detail: His name is Bruno.
3. Closing: I love him very much.
