Articles
A, An, TheTiny words that come before nouns!
📖 What are Articles?
An article is a small word that comes before a noun. There are only three articles in English: a, an, and the.
They tell us if we’re talking about any thing (a, an) or a special, specific thing (the). They’re tiny words but they make a BIG difference in meaning!
💡 The Rule
Use “a” before words starting with consonant sounds (a cat, a book). Use “an” before words starting with vowel sounds (an apple, an egg). Use “the” for a specific thing (the sun, the moon).
🎯 Key Concept
🐱 a cat (any cat)
🍎 an apple (any apple, starts with vowel)
☀️ the sun (the only one we have!)
📋 Article Quick Guide
