❌ Common Mistakes Indians Make

❌ "Give me water."
✅ "Can I have some water, please?"
"Give me" sounds rude. Use "Can I have" or "May I have" with "please".
❌ "Thanks God!"
✅ "Thank God!"
It’s "Thank God" (no ‘s’). "Thanks" is for thanking people, not God.
❌ "I want to go toilet."
✅ "May I go to the washroom, please?"
Add "May I", "to the", and "please" for politeness. Use "washroom" in formal settings.
❌ "Sorry, sorry, very sorry!"
✅ "I’m really sorry. It won’t happen again."
Repeating "sorry" weakens it. One sincere apology with a promise is more effective.
❌ "Excuse me, what is your good name?"
✅ "Excuse me, what is your name?"
"Good name" is Indian English. In standard English, just say "What is your name?"
