❌ Common Mistakes Indians Make

❌ "I will come in your birthday."
✅ "I will come to your birthday party."
Use "to" not "in" for events: "come to the party". Also add "party" for clarity.
❌ "Many many happy returns."
✅ "Many happy returns of the day!"
Don’t repeat "many". The correct phrase is "Many happy returns of the day".
❌ "I enjoyed very much."
✅ "I had a wonderful time!" / "I enjoyed it a lot!"
"I enjoyed very much" sounds incomplete. Say what you enjoyed, or use "a lot".
❌ "He gifted me a book."
✅ "He gave me a book as a gift."
"Gifted" is becoming common but "gave me… as a gift" is more standard.
❌ "We cutted the cake."
✅ "We cut the cake."
Past tense of "cut" is "cut" (same!) — not "cutted". Irregular verb!
