❌ Common Mistakes Indians Make

❌ "Which bus goes to market?"
✅ "Which bus goes to the market?"
Use "the" before specific places: "the market", "the station", "the school".
❌ "The bus is arrived."
✅ "The bus has arrived." / "The bus is here."
Use "has arrived" (present perfect) or "is here". Don’t mix "is" + past tense.
❌ "Please give seat to old lady."
✅ "Please give your seat to the old lady."
Add "your" before "seat" and "the" before "old lady" for clarity.
❌ "I missed the bus. I will be late."
✅ "I missed the bus. I’m going to be late."
Both are okay, but "I’m going to be late" sounds more natural for an immediate consequence.
❌ "I want to get down at next stop."
✅ "I want to get off at the next stop."
We "get off" a bus, not "get down". "Get down" means to physically lower yourself.
